Annual Gifts

Gifts of cash -  A gift of cash is the most common way to support Wisconsin Community Fund. Contributions of cash may be deducted in the year the gift is made.  In addition to checks, WCF accepts MasterCard, VISA and American Express.  Also, Secure Online Giving  to WCF is now available through through e.Power, a Community Shares of Wisconsin project.  Electronic Fund Transfer is possible for monthly or quarterly pledges to our Partners in Change program.

Appreciated Securities - Gifts of stocks or bonds that have appreciated can provide more significant benefits. You may deduct the fair market value of appreciated securities and avoid a capital gains tax. Gifts of noncash property may be particularly attractive now because Congress has recently restored full deductibility for gifts of appreciated securities and other qualified property

Real Estate - A gift of real estate can be a very beneficial contribution for both the donor and the recipient charity. You may contribute a personal residence or a vacation home and retain the right to live in it for your lifetime. A gift of real estate can generate a charitable deduction equal to the fair market value or "remainder interest" and relieve you of property tax management and maintenance costs. In addition, you can avoid capital gains tax on the appreciation of the property, as well as possible estate taxes.

Please contact Wisconsin Community Fund if you have questions or would like more information about any of these giving options.
